Plasma Factor(s) in ME/CFS: Are they specific for this illness?
Summary so far: We have preliminary evidence of the presence of an unidentified factor in the blood capable of altering cellular energetics however showed inconsistencies between two ME/CFS cohorts and between different muscle cell models.
An ME Association grant is currently funding more research in this area.
